Nicalis is going to have a special surprise waiting for Windows PC owners this week. It’s Nifflas’ NightSky! I hope you’re in the mood for an atmospheric platformer, because on Thursday (January 6, 2011) it’ll be ready!
NightSky takes place in a shadowy world where players control a sphere. The goal is to help get it through levels using physics (and a few handy devices). It also looks quite relaxing, with lovely music to listen to and lots of environmental details to take in. Sometimes, it even seems like NightSky is about more than just getting from point A to point B – it’s about exploring and enjoying how things work.

No word on price yet. We’ll have to wait a few days and see for ourselves. Also, there’s no new information on the WiiWare version of NightSky. I think I’m going to wait a month or two, since I’d really like to play it on my Wii.
While you’re waiting for NightSky, you can always head to Nifflas’ Games to check out some of Nifflas’ other games. I’d recommend Within a Deep Forest and Knytt Stories. They’re both free, and there are lots of custom Knytt Stories levels out there to enjoy.
