Killzone 3 160gb PS3 bundle debuts next week

Anyone who’s been window shopping, looking at PS3s, may want to put off making any big purchases. At least for another week. Sony has just announced a new PS3 bundle. The system included isn’t anything special, just your standard 160gb PS3, but it does come with a rather desirable new release. You may have heard of it, it’s called Killzone 3.

Sony has confirmed that this Killzone 3 PS3 bundle is going to be a limited edition item. So it will probably only be on store shelves for a few months after it’s February 22, 2011 release. After all, you’re getting a brand new game and a 160gb system for only $299.99. You normally pay that for the system alone. It’s like you’re getting the $59.99 game for free.

Since you’ll be saving all that money, you may want to look into investing it elsewhere. Killzone 3 is going to be compatible with the PlayStation Move controller. Perhaps you could get the Killzone 3 PS3 bundle and the Move at the same time. Or, even better, you could pick up a second PS3 DualShock 3 controller. Killzone 3 allows two players to play together with split-screen cooperative multiplayer. It’d be a shame if you couldn’t take advantage of that.
