Xbox live weekly update

The Xbox Live House Party continues this week and it’s not really a party without some bling. Bejeweled Blitz takes care of that for us.

This PopCap Games puzzler is easy to pick up but notoriously hard to put down. Seriously, you have been warned. Players report seeing hypercubes in their sleep after a few days of Bejeweled Blitz. You can challenge to Xbox Live leaderboards and your friends in two game modes – Classic and Twist. There’s also a 16-player party mode for lots of fun with lots of friends. That’s definitely a good “House Party” choice. Bejeweled Blitz is 800 Microsoft Points ($10). The other House Party titles are previously released Hard Corps Uprising, the HD remake of cult classic Beyond Good and Evil and Full House Poker.

The demos this week include Lego Star Wars III:The Clone Wars and Dragon Age 2 The Lego games have been some of the bestStar Wars games in recent memory. They’re very family friendly, too, always a bonus. This newest installment has ground and space battles as well as massive boss fights. There are more Force powers to play with for even more puzzle-solving, enemy-blasting action. Wittle Lego Anakin is so cute, is a shame he’s destined to become an evil Lego block. The demo includes both space and ground-based levels.

Dragon Age 2 is more mature fare, to put it mildly. No seriously, this game is not for the kiddos. Every decision you make in this Bioware epic could have far reaching consquences. Are you up to the task? This demo will give you the chance to find out. Also, if one million people download this demo, EA will release two in-game items for free.

Dragon Age 2
