I guess Chaos Rings, Square Enix and Media Vision’s iPhone, iPad and iPod game did pretty well for the companies. I mean, if it didn’t, then why would the companies bother making two more of them. Yes, not one, but two more of them. Yes, the world will soon be seeing Chaos Rings Omega and Chaos Rings II.
We’ll be seeing Chaos Rings Omega first. It showed up in Famitsu magazine this week in a short blurb. It’ll be a prequel to the original game and be out in May 2011 in Japan. Since Square Enix tends to have simultaneous or near simultaneous releases for its iOS games, we should be seeing it in North America and Europe around the same time.
That same issue of Famitsu also had another Chaos Rings tidbit – an ad for Chaos Rings II. No real information was given about the sequel, other than it will also be an iOS game. That and the II tacked onto the end of it means it will be a sequel.
I think there’s one thing we can definitely count on when Chaos Rings Omega and Chaos Rings II appear on iTunes, and that’s a premium price-point. The original Chaos Rings will still cost you $12.99, and it’s almost a year old.
