Toys R Us’ Memorial Day 2011 deals discount systems and games

There are currently not one, but two Toys R Us ads in circulation. One is the standard sale ad for May 29 – June 4, 2011, but the other is a smaller ad that focuses only on Memorial Day deals for May 27-30, 2011. The Memorial Day specials aren’t really all that great for gamers, but the general deals are kind of awesome.

Let’s go over the Memorial Day sale items first, since there are only two and they’re only on sale until Monday. If you buy a $149.99 DSi system, you can get a free pink and white or blue and black Zhu Zhu Pets carrying case. Normally, the case is $12.99 alone. If you decide to spend a bit more and get the $169.99 DSi XL, you’ll get a red Luxe case to carry it in for free. That case usually costs $14.99. So the deals aren’t earthshattering, but there’s still something to choose from.

There general deals are much better. Let’s start with the DS and 3DS game sale extravaganza. From May 29 – June 4, 2011, there’s a buy one, get one free promotion and all in stock DS and 3DS games are subject to the deal. You could get two 3DS games, two DS games or one of each, if you like. As usual, the cheaper of the two games is the one you get for free.

There are also two fantastic deals for anyone looking to buy an Xbox 360 or PS3. If you buy the $199.99 4gb Xbox 360 or the $399.99 320gb PS3 Move bundle, you get a free $50 Toys R Us gift card and a free Xbox 360 or PS3 accessory. The accessory has to normally retail for $29.99 or less, but still. There are a lot of good accessories at that price. You could probably even grab a cheap controller.
