The uDraw GameTablet has sold quite well on the Wii. THQ is now bringing the peripheral to the PS3 and Xbox 360 this November. The core aspects of uDraw will remain mostly the same, but the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions will be more technically advanced and slightly redesigned compared to what the Wii offers.
Since the PS3 and Xbox 360 are high definition consoles, uDraw will be able to display high definition art. The stylus will remain the most important piece of the tablet, but THQ says it will have “greater sensitivity for more detailed results.”
Motion controls were also a neat feature included with the Wii uDraw tablet. The motion controls were dependent on the Wii Remote as it sat snugly within the uDraw tablet’s body. The new uDraw tablets will have motion controls built right in. There won’t be any need for PlayStation Move. The tablet also has multi-touch support for pinching and zooming.
Included with the uDraw GameTablet is uDraw Studio: Instant Artist which is an updated version of uDraw Studio. An improved version of Pictionary called Pictionary: Ultimate Edition will also be released for uDraw on PS3 and Xbox 360.
