Sony held its E3 2011 press conference. I would say it was the best press conference out of the big three so far. Of course Nintendo is going to show its hand later today as it tries to top Sony. As we wait for that to happen, we can continue to ride the Sony wave over to our PS3s and download the latest firmware update. It’s cool if you don’t want to download it. Unlike most firmware updates, this one is completely optional.

Firmware update v3.65 will make the PS3 more stable when playing certain software (we never know which software they’re talking about), and “changes the XMB item SaveData Utility (minis) to [SaveData Utility(minis/PSP)].

See, it’s not such a big deal. It’s definitely not the biggest update that when live yesterday evening. The 3DS got its long-awaited update too.
