Rebuild of Evangelion: Sound Impact is inspired by that new line of Neon Genesis Evangelion movies that are retelling the story of the anime series. Well, the first two to be exact, since only Evangelion: 1.0 You Are (Not) Alone and Evangelion: 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance have been released. There will be six rhythm games set to 30 tracks taken from the two movies released so far. They’re being classified as rhythm/action games, which means they’ll probably play in a manner similar to the Bit.Trip series. As you play, you’ll also see scenes and stills from the two movies.
If you own a PSP, then on September 29, 2011 you can import a copy of this game. Since it’s going to be made up of six kinds of rhythm game, the language barrier shouldn’t be an issue. Plus, the PSP is region-free so Rebuild of Evangelion: Sound Impact will play on any PSP system. Well, except for the PSPgo, but there’s no need to worry because nobody actually owns one! (Joking!)
