gamertell apple app store weekly update logoThe iPhone and iPod Touch gaming update is Gamertell’s weekly look at the previous week’s iPhone and iPod Touch games released in the Apple App Store. We cover them all – good and not so good. The list is available every Monday, right as you are about to start that long work week.

This week’s gaming updates were a bit sparse so we threw them into one medium sized update of goodness. Never fear, though. If none of these peak your interests there’s always the sales currently going on such as this one by Namco Bandai.

captain slobber

We kick things off this week with the 2D side-scrolling shmup (shoot-em-up), Captain Slobber. Priced at $0.99, there’s not much to know about this game other than it’s a shmup and it looks nuts. For a dollar, I’d recommend giving it a go if your into shmups or you’re just bored. If you are into arcade games that are a little more retro with a modern twist, then I suggest you download the free game Pong Revenge. Featuring 7 different stages to play and twenty different settings, Pong Revenge should keep any Pong fan happy this week.

airport mania 2

Airport Mania 2: Wild Trips is the sequel to the still popular, Airport Mania. Airport Mania 2: Wild Trips only costs $0.99 and offers up 9 airports in over 70 levels. Also thrown into the mix is the new locations which include the Moon and the North Pole. That’s not all, though, as you also get to obsessively earn over 40 achievements to iOS gaming repertoire.

sally's studio

Our last iPhone game this week I’m sure will be a welcome back to time management game fans – it’s Sally’s Studio. With 50 levels across 10 locations including Rio de Janeiro. Hawaii, and Vancouver, travel the globe to help people the only way Sally can – by making them look good. Sally’s Studio is available for $2.99.

jack of all tribes hd

This is the section of this week’s update that includes the one iPad release that’s Jack of All Tribes HD. This another time management game that pits you in prehistoric times with the goal of using stuff plucked out the future to help protect, feed, and steady the morale of your village. 40 levels, 12 building types, 18 artifacts and Game Center support are all yours for $4.99.
