I’m pretty sure we all knew there’d be a Mass Effect 3 demo released before the game came out, but now it’s practically official. BioWare’s Casey Hudson took to Twitter to confirm that the company is planning on a demo. Even better, said demo could end up being available in a few months. So we don’t know when a downloadable demo will be released, but we now know for sure that one will eventually come our way.
BioWare has already had quite a few Mass Effect 3 demos released, with more to come. There was plenty of demo footage from E3 2011. There will also be playable demos at the San Diego 2011 Comic-Con on July 21-24, 2011, if you stop by BioWare’s booth at the Hilton Gaslamp Hotel. (You don’t need a Comic-Con badge to visit and play the demo.) It will also be playable September 16-18, 2011 at the first GAMEfest event at the NEC in Birmingham, UK. So there’ll be plenty of opportunities to see it in action before it’s March 6, 2011 release.
Of course, this does nothing for those of us who are ready for a demo like right now. We’ll just have to be patient. So who else is eagerly anticipating BioWare’s latest epic? I just traded in some games this weekend and preordered/paid off my copy.
