Toys R Us holding Christmas in July sale 15 – 16, 2011

Toys R Us is holding a two day sale today! Well, today (July 15, 2011) and tomorrow (July 16, 2011). It’s not too big or anything. Just a standard buy one, get one 50% off promotion on certain items. Gamers will be most interested in the BOGO deal on bargain games. If you find two games that normally cost $19.99 or less, then the cheaper of the two will be 50% off.

There are also two miscellaneous game deals that are also pretty decent. If you buy a Wii at Toys R Us, any bundle and any color, you’ll get a $20 gift card you can use on a future purchase. So if you find a store that, by some miracle, still has the bundle with Wii Sports and Wii Sports Resort with it and not Mario Kart, you still get the gift card. Also, if you buy NCAA Football 2012 (PS3, Xbox 360) and a second PS3 or Xbox 360 game that costs over $49.99, then $10 will be taken off of the price of the second game.

Finally, Toys R Us is holding a Christmas in July Sweepstakes. You need to “like” Toys R Us’ Facebook page to see the contest and enter. They’re looking for super amazing and awesome WOW Christmas moments. If you upload a photo, you could win a $500 Toys R Us gift card. If you upload a video, you could win a $1,000 gift card. On top of that, one additional, random person will get a $100 gift card just for uploading a video/photo or voting on a video/photo. Toys R Us Facebook page visitors will vote on the videos and photos, and the two with the most votes get the gift cards.
