Gamescom 2011: Cole McGrath fights vampires in Infamous 2: Festival of Blood [Updated]

We haven’t seen the last of Cole McGrath this year. He will be coming back in a new downloadable adventure this October in inFamous 2: Festival of Blood. This game is truly unlike anything we’ve seen from inFamous before. Why you ask? Because Cole is fighting vampires.

In this game, New Marais has been attacked by vampires. Cole has a single night to find and take down the head vampire in order to turn everything back to normal. And by normal, I mean as normal as the world of inFamous 2 can be.

It’s not clear if you need to own inFamous 2 to play Festival of Blood. Based on the short teaser, it looks like Cole himself can become a vampire as well.

Update: Sucker Punch says you don’t need previous versions of inFamous to play Festival of Blood. It is a standalone game.
