Yakuza Dead Souls
It happened! All of those rumors about that Yakuza: Dead Souls trademark being related to the Yakuza zombie spin-off were right. Sega’s just confirmed that it’s working on a localization of Yakuza: Of the End for North America and Europe, and both regions will receive the game in March 2012. Time to see your favorite Yakuza characters fight zombies.

Kamurocho has been hit hard by zombies. They’re everywhere, and only four men can step up and take a stand against them. Those men are Kazuma Kiryu, Shun Akiyama, Goro Majima and Ryuji Goda, with the second two being playable for the first time in the series. You complete missions around the area, fighing zombies and such, but also making time for traditional Yakuza activities like ping pong and arcade games.

There’s even a new, English trailer to behold. So behold it!

The North American version of Yakuza: Dead Souls might just end up being the definitive one. Sega’s already confrimed that it will have all the content from the original Japanese release Yakuza: Of the End. In addition, it will have a new Pachislot mini-game and Japanese DLC was even mentioned. Sega didn’t state if the Japanese DLC will be included on the disc or just also be released in North America, but still. It’s good to know our version will be just as good as, and maybe even smidge better than, the original release.
