The efforts to transform Google Chrome into much more than just a simple web browser became more apparent yesterday with the release of Bastion. Bastion was a very well received game for XBLA and PC. It’s quite astonishing to know the entire game can be played using nothing but the Google Chrome web browser. Of course, not everyone will be able to run Bastion. Your computer has to meet the requirements such as having an OpenGL-compatible graphics card.
Here are the system requirements to run Bastion in Google Chrome.
- 1.7GHz dual core or higher processor
- 2GB of memory
- 1GB of hard drive space
- 512MB graphics card (shader model 2)
The free demo of Bastion in the Chrome Web Store will include the game’s prologue. The rest of it will cost you $14.99. At this time, Bastion does not support gamepads through Chrome, but an update may be coming down the line. If it proves to be successful, it wouldn’t surprise me to see even more high quality games showing up in the Chrome Web Store and Google+.
