Today is the day when some of us will realize just how old we are. Grand Theft Auto 3 has been released for iOS and Android more than 10 years after first debuting on the PlayStation 2. It’s being sold for $4.99, which isn’t too bad considering how much some of these other console ports are selling for. Be warned though, GTA 3 is nearly 500MBs in size. For some of you playing on Android, the download may take longer than the 15 minute window you have to get a refund in case it doesn’t work.
According to Rockstar, GTA 3 is only compatible with a select number of devices. We’ve posted them below.
iOS
Android Smartphones
Android Tablets
This is where things get tricky. On the Android Market website, it shows GTA 3 is compatible with all the Android devices registered to my account. This includes the very old myTouch 3G from over two years ago. There is no way GTA 3 will run reasonably well on that phone. This is something you should be aware of before dropping the $5.
