Now this is the kind of cool tech-product we like to see! Shogun Bros. happens to be a developer behind a rather ingenious, 7-button, gaming mouse for Windows PCs. At first glance, the Cameleon X-1 looks like a mouse. Flip it over, and it turns into a 16-button controller. It’s a transformer! And, even better, at CES 2012 the very first, themed Chameleon X-1 will debut!

The two Chameleon X-1s are designed with Assassin’s Creed: Revelations in mind. The model above is known as Ezio, with a paint job and finish inspired by Ezio Auditore da Firenze. There’s also a white variation known as Altaïr, for Altaïr Ibn-La’Ahad. Aside from cosmetic differences, they’re both a wireless, 400-1600 dpi gaming mouse. Pop in the included AA battery, plug it in and play. When you’re not using it, you can even sore the nano receiver in a magnetic storage compartment built into the mouse. You can even use it for work or with your home theater in presenter mode.

A price hasn’t been announced yet, so we’ll have to wait until CES 2012 for more news. However, the standard Chameleon X-1 gaming mice are $59.99, so I think it’s save to assume the Altair and Ezio models will be at least $60 as well.
