During CES 2012, we played around with a game called Warrior’s Lair for the PlayStation Vita. Warrior’s Lair was showcased because it was an example on how cross-platform saves can work between the Vita and PS3. There will be plenty of Vita games that don’t have this feature, but you’re in luck if you’re planning on getting MLB 12 The Show.

Sony San Diego confirmed on the PlayStation Blog that MLB 12 The Show will have cloud saves. These saved games can be used across the Vita and PS3 versions of the game. Specifically, you’ll be able to store saves from the Franchise, Season and Road to the Show modes in the cloud. Only one save file per mode will be allowed. The saves are also tied to a single PSN account.

In order to take advantage of this feature, you’ll have to buy both versions of the game. MLB 12: The Show for PS3 costs $59.99, and $39.99 for Vita. The game is out on March 6.
