Halo 2 for Vista delayed yet again

In a move that isn’t that surprising, Microsoft has again delayed the release of Halo 2 for Windows Vista. The original release date for the title was May 8, 2007. As the release date rolled around Microsoft announced that it would be delayed for unspecified reasons with a new release date set for May 22, 2007. Well, May 22 came and went and there were no copies to be found on store shelves.

Now comes word from Microsoft that the release date has again been pushed for another week and will ship to retailers on May 31, 2007. One can only guess as to why this game has been repeatedly delayed but my money is on the fact that they want the Halo 3 Beta to remain the main focus. Also of note is the fact that Shadowrun, which is the Vista/Xbox 360 cross-platform game, is scheduled for a May 29, 2007, release and Microsoft may want it to get a few days head start in the Vista arena.
