Double Fine started its Kickstarter campaign asking for a rather modest $400,000. $300,000 was meant to go towards development, and $100,000 was going to be used to shoot a documentary about the development process. As you most likely know by now, Double Fine raised a lot more money than expected. At this time, $1,816,927 has been donated. With that extra money, Double Fine will be improving its game by adding voices and expanding the platforms it’ll be released on.

If for some reason you don’t see yourself playing Double Fine Adventure on PC, Mac or Linux (DRM free by the way), you’ll be able to experience it on iOS and Android instead. Double Fine will only release the game on certain Android devices (which isn’t unusual), but we don’t know what they are yet.

Double Fine is also adding voice acting to the English version of Double Fine Adventure. The text of the game is also being translated into French, Italian, German and Spanish.
