Skyrim will be $40 at Walmart next week

Walmart will have what is probably the best deal yet on Skyrim for consoles. From February 26 to March 3, Skyrim will be $39.96 for Xbox 360 and PS3. We really haven’t seen Skyrim discounted by so much since it came out last November. It was already well worth $60, but now purchasing Skyrim is a no-brainer.

Now is the best time to pick up Skyrim from a quality assurance perspective. Skyrim had a lot of well publicized bugs when it was released. This was especially true for the PS3 version. Now that Bethesda has released patches, the majority of of problems have been alleviated.

The next chapter in the Skyrim saga is downloadable content. We know it’s coming, but we have no idea when. If you want to be among the first to experience it, you’re better off buying the Xbox 360 version of Skyrim.

I sank over 70 hours into Skyrim and still have a ton of quests to complete. There is no shortage of content here.
