I hope you haven’t grown weary of board game-video game mashups, because there’s another entry on the horizon that might be worthwhile. Capcom’s working with USAopoly to create Monopoly: Street Fighter. It’ll be a standard Monopoly board game, only with lots of Street Fighter references crammed into it. As cool as it sounds, there’s something going on that makes it even better.

Capcom and USAopoly are looking for fan feedback. Monopoly always comes with little metal figurines that are used as player’s avatars and the companies can’t decide which six characters out of 12 will be in the box. That’s where your vote matters. The Capcom-Unity blog will have a poll online until March 5, 2012. You pick your favorite character, vote and then hope he or she ends up in the actual game.

Here’s the list of possible figurines waiting for your vote.

  • Ryu
  • Ken
  • Chun-Li
  • Guile
  • Blanka
  • E. Honda
  • Zangief
  • Dhalsim
  • Balrog
  • Vega
  • Sagat
  • M. Bison

I voted for Guile!

After you vote, you can see how all the characters are doing. So far, it seems like Ryu, Chun-Li, M. Bison and Ken might definitely be in. Guile, Blanka, Zangief and Vega are all about tied. Meanwhile, it seems like nobody’s voting for E. Honda or Dhalsim!

In case you’re curious, Urban Collector is already taking pre-orders for Monopoly: Street Fighter. It says it should be shipping the game in July, 2012 and is charging $34.99 for it.
