If you thought setting Assassin’s Creed 3 during the American Revolution was too much of a stretch, this image is not going to make you any happier. Kotaku was sent this image from a Best Buy employee that also noted Assassin’s Creed 3 is going to be revealed on March 5.

The Assassin’s Creed Facebook page also told fans that a major announcement is going to be made in a few days. That would make the timing of the image a little more than coincidental. However, everything is still unconfirmed at this point. We have to assume someone is pulling our leg until otherwise noted.

Judging by items the man in the photo is carrying, we’re going to stand by Kotaku’s assumption that he’s Native American. The bow, feathered arrows, his necklace and seemingly darker skin tone appears to back this up. The flag representing the original 13 colonies also means there were plenty of Native Americans around at the time.

Our original concern still remains unanswered. How will Assassin’s Creed retain its trademark parkour movement style during a time where there were no large structures bundled together in a single location?
