Mass Effect 3 isn’t the only major release coming out on March 6, 2012. That’s when Capcom and Namco Bandai’s Street Fighter x Tekken hits the streets. Unfortunately, it seems the latter may not receive as enthusiastic a welcome. It turns out Capcom is up to its old tricks again! Hackers have gotten hold of the Xbox 360 version of the game and discovered the PS3 exclusive characters and other DLC characters’ content on the disc.

This means that Capcom eventually plans to sell Alisa, Blanka, Bryan, Christie, Cody, Dudley, Elena, Guy, Jack-X, Lei, Lars, Mega Man, Pac-Man and Sakura as DLC, even though all of the content for those characters exists on the disc. The fighters, their costumes and even their full story mode tracks are already in Street Fighter x Tekken. Capcom just going to force fans to pay to download a code to unlock them.

As you can imagine, this incensed fans. So they did what any angry people would do. They went to YouTube and started uploading footage of the DLC characters in action. Two of the first were users named SoulReaper and Zawashima5, but Capcom found their videos here and here and removed all of them. That hasn’t deterred people, as the videos keep reappearing.

Here’s SoulReaperLuvzCapcom’s video of Pac-Man and Mega Man fighting in the Xbox 360 version of Street Fighter x Tekken.

Let’s follow that up with a look at Bryan and Lei!

Fans are now going out of their way to upload Street Fighter x Tekken on disc DLC videos to YouTube, so you should have no trouble finding footage of the characters Capcom is going to eventually ask you to pay for, even though you technically already have them.
