iPhone and iPod Touch gaming update for March 11, 2012

The iPhone and iPod Touch gaming update is Gamertell’s weekly look at the previous week’s iPhone and iPod Touch games released in the Apple App Store. We cover them all – good and not so good. The list is available every Monday, right as you are about to start that long work week.

So I guess Apple’s next big unveil will be the actual new iPhone, not that Siri iPhone 4 edition they did last year. Bets are already being taken as to what Apple has in store but we all know no one really knows until Tim Cook and company take the stage.

With the PlayStation Vita just getting on it’s feet and the Nintendo 3DS only now beginning to stop the bleeding, how will Apple respond to the mobile gaming market? Is an A5X processor enough? Can the Retina display get any better on the iPhone and iPod Touch? Will my dream of a holophone-like interface finally come to fruition? Fall seems so far away now.

For $0.99, you can get your watercraft racing on with AquaBoat Rush. Featuring six tracks to race, two modes of play, four unlockable boats, spring boards, bombs, and more it shouldn’t be hard to get some excitement out these waves.

Well here’s a twist on the usual RPG. Adventure Bar Story has you defending your bar for the evil restaurant tycoon Gustav. In order to stay in business you have work hard to make your bar the best place in town. Hunt monsters to make food, eat to level up, spruce up your bar, and prepare to poor in 50 hours of your life according to the iTunes profile. The game is now $0.99 and seems like an interesting take on a growing stale genre.

Zuma is back on the iPhone and iPod Touch with Zuma’s Revenge! HD for $4.99. 60 levels to match up stones and get high scores. There’s even 60 challenges levels should the adventure ones prove not to be a challenge. There’s not much else to say… you’re downloading it now aren’t you? Fair enough.
