Alright soldiers, suit up! BioWare’s got a challenge for us and I suggest we accept. An N7 Challenge has been issued for all owners of Mass Effect 3. Victory means free Commendation or Victory Packs. Defeat means, well, defeat! Think of this as an opportunity to vent your rage over Mass Effect 3‘s ending!

Here’s how it works. This weekend the Operation Goliath N7 Challenge begins today, March 16, 2012, at 5pm PST and ends March 19, 2012 at 5am PST. Make sure you have Upload Gameplay Feedback enabled in the options menu and then head to the multiplayer. From there, there are two ways to win. One is to go up against Reapers in a Silver mission. If you survive all 10 waves, then BioWare will send you a Commendation pack March 20, 2012 at 5pm PST. Commendation Packs include one N7 Crusader Shotgun, N7 Eagle Pistol, N7 Hurricane SMG or N7 Valiant Sniper Rifle. You can only get one of these guns in this pack.

If you’re not strong enough for a Silver mission, that’s okay. There’s also a Brute challenge going on during that period. If all the people playing Mass Effect 3 multiplayer during that time period kill one million Brute enemies, then everybody gets a free Victory Pack. Brutes are the huge, gorilla-like things that are constantly rushing at your characters.

Unfortunately, this promotion only applies to the Xbox 360 and Windows versions of Mass Effect 3. PS3 owners get nothing.

  1. Uhhh, you realize that the Goliath challenge isn’t going on for PSN users, right? It’s PC and Xbox360 only…

    • I missed that final tagline. >.< I'm guessing I'm not the only one, as servers seemed overloaded last night on PSN!

      Thanks for letting us know!
