The iPad gaming update is GamerTell’s weekly look at the previous week’s iPad games released in the Apple App Store. We cover them all – good and not so good. The list is available every Monday, right as you are about to start that long work week.

It’s the first week that the “new” iPad has been out. It’s sure sold well enough but what do you folks think about it’s gaming potential? That new retina screen and A5X chip scream gaming goodness but a lot of games have yet to make use of the capabilities. Relay your thoughts in the comments below and also feel free to browse this week’s short and to the point gaming update:

Battleloot Adventure HD comes in with glowing praise and a great price at $0.99. Enter the realm of Kameloot and embark on over 60 quests. Recruit characters to engage in turn-based combat and upgrade and customize them for the further quests ahead.

It was bound to happen that the popularity of the Angry birds franchise would send them soaring into the heavens. Well they made it to Space at least. Angry Birds Space HD makes it’s debut following its SXSW showing at $2.99. With new birds, 60 levels, hidden bonuses, new powers, and the play with gravity, this newest addition to the one of most popular time-wasters sounds like quite a time.

Yet another tower defense joins the iOS platform. Hero of Might and Magic rings the defensive bell at $1.99 and features drag-n-drop spell casting, touch screen arrow barrages, upgradable walls and towers. There’s no stage listing but there are promises of bosses to defeat and honors to claim.
