iPad gaming update for April 15, 2012

The iPad gaming update is GamerTell’s weekly look at the previous week’s iPad games released in the Apple App Store. We cover them all – good and not so good. The list is available every Monday, right as you are about to start that long work week.

It’s the Monday after Friday the 13th and it’s time for the iPad gaming update. Relax, though, there’s nothing spooky or hockey-masked mad people here, just some excellent games to check out. Although, I suppose ,our first game is a bit dark:

It shouldn’t be a surprise anymore how powerful our iDevices ar, but when a game like Max Payne Mobile comes along, a game I distinctly remember playing on the PC so long ago, it still makes me wonder. Rockstar Games brings the infamous “bullet-time” gun play and the incredibly dark story into your hands for $2.99.

If you’re looking to create a little chaos and destruction, you’d be hard pressed to find something better than Burnout CRASH! Gain a high score by creating as much destruction as you can using tornados, UFOs, asteroids, tidal waves, and more. With three game modes and the ability to pass back and forth, the $4.99 is chump change compared to what the insurance companies are going to be paying out.

It was only released this week, but already Crow has astounded many players and critics. Using the in-house built Radiance platform, Crow delivers some impressive visuals. An ancient battle pits your character in the role of making the ultimate decision of sparing their lives or quelling the them for good. Try it out now for $4.99.

TETRIS for iPad has gone all HD on us and, with it’s shiny new coat, is a new price tag of $6.99. Featuring two game modes, Origin support, Facebook friend support, Tetris Rank, and a new T-Club (basically a Tetris membership thing), this one is for the Tetris junkies amongst us.
