Do you typically wait almost a year to get the hottest games? If the answer is yes, then your patience has paid off again! Warner Bros. and Rocksteady Studios have decided that Batman: Arkham City was so awesome that it deserves a Game of the Year edition release, which it will be getting on May 29, 2012.
People who waited will be exceptionally glad they did. Instead of paying something like $59.99 and just getting the game and Catwoman extras, people will pay that price and get every bit of DLC released ever. That includes the Harley Quinn’s Revenge DLC which lets people play as the Joker’s sidekick/love interest. People who couldn’t wait can buy Harley’s adventure add-on separately for $9.99 on the day the GOTY edition launches.
Batman: Arkham City GOTY Edition includes one more nice little extra. You’ll get the Batman: Year One animated movie that came out in October, 2011. It offers another take on Batman’s origin story, as well as chronicling James Gordon’s rising through the ranks of the Gotham police department. You’ll get a download of the movie though, and not a physical copy, so be sure to make room on your console’s hard drive.
