Screenshots and a video of the upcoming game, Penny Arcade Adventures: On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness, have finally been released.
The game, developed by Hothead Games and available later this year (2007), will be the a series of downloadable, episodic games for PC (Windows, Mac OS X and Linux) and will feature characters from the Penny Arcade webcomics including Gabe and Tycho. The art and writing is provided by the Penny’Arcade webcartoonists, Mike Krahulik and writer Jerry Holkin, with consultant advice by Ron Gilbert, creator of The Secret of Monkey Island and Maniac Mansion.
According to the press release, the game will be a “…blend of classic adventure and role-playing (RPG) combat elements set in the 1920’s.” Key features will include (and the last one is my favorite):
