There’s some good news n this week’s Target ad for gamers. Anyone shopping between April 29, 2012 and May 5, 2012 can have a chance to get a free game with their new handheld system, a discount on a Xbox 360 with Kinect or a gift card when buying and pre-ordering certain games. It’s a lot to go through, so pay attention.

The first deals are on the 3DS and Vita. If you buy either one, you get a free game ot extra bonus. The $169.99 3DS comes with a copy of Nintendogs + Cats, with the shopper deciding which of the three versions to grab. The Vita, which is $249.99 for a Wi-Fi model and $299.99 for the Wi-Fi/3G one, comes with a copy of Unit 13 and a 4gb memory card.

The Xbox 360 deal isn’t nearly as spectacular, in comparison. Target’s just taking $20 off the price of the 4gb Xbox 360 Kinect bundle. That means you’ll pay $279.99 instead of $299.99.

The game gift card deal is a but more complicated. If you want the $20 free gift card, you’ll need to buy one of five new PS3/Xbox 360 games and place a pre-order for one of five forthcoming PS3/Xbox 360 games. The five available games, which are all $59.99 each, are Assassin’s Creed: Revelations, Battlefield 3, Call of Duty: Black Ops, Mass Effect 3 and Tiger Woods PGA Tour 13. The five pre-order games are Assassin’s Creed III, Madden 13, Max Payne 3, NCAA Football 13 and Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Future Soldier.
