BlackBerry World Conference starts today, and the company has revealed a few games that are playable on the BlackBerry PlayBook. For starters. Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light is now available from BlackBerry App World for $3.99. The PlayBook is also getting at least one iOS port that isn’t even available on Android yet.

Halfbrick is bringing one of its best games, Jetpack Joyride, to the PlayBook and BlackBerry 10 when it launches. Halfbrick will also port over four more unannounced games.

Smash Cops will also be making the leap. This game was recently free for iOS thanks to an App-O-Day promotion.

Here are some other releases that have been confirmed on the Twitter page of Anders Jeppsson, the head of gaming at RIM.

  • Kami Retro
  • Star Marine
  • Sonic 4 Episode 1 (May release)
  • Galaxy on Fire 2

RIM definitely needs a turnaround as soon as possible. Securing these games is good for business, but RIM’s future is still in question.
