The PlayStation Network sure likes its maintenance doesn’t it? Thursday will mark the beginning of an extended maintenance period that will last throughout the day. From 10am EDT to 2am EDT, certain features of the PlayStation Network may become difficult to access.
It’s not all bad though. We’ll still be able to play games online and access applications such as Netflix while maintenance is occurring. You shouldn’t have any trouble accessing these features as long as you’ve signed into the PlayStation Network at some point within the last five days. The PlayStation Store and PlayStation Home may become inaccessible at times though.
Sony usually announces PSN maintenance with as few words as possible. However this time, the PlayStation Blog post that alerted us about this seems more inviting. Matthew Harper, the senior manager for PlayStation Digital Platforms, responded to questions in the comments section of the post as well. That kind of interaction with users goes a long way. Bravo Sony.
