Madden NFL 13 features secret team, the Canton Greats

Legends are all over the landscape in Madden NFL 13. Pre-ordering the game at GameStop will get you John Madden and Barry Sanders in Madden Ultimate Team and Connected Careers mode. An Amazon pre-order gets you Joe Gibbs and Lawrence Taylor in Ultimate Team and Connected Careers. Now, footage is out revealing a special team comprised of NFL Hall of Famers and some current players well on their way.

The Canton Greats feature some of the best players to ever lace up the cleats. John Madden, the legend that made all this possible, is the head coach. He no longer does in-game commentary, so there won’t be any weird moments with him in the booth and on the sideline at the same time. It comes as no surprise that Calvin Johnson, the Madden NFL 13 cover athlete, lines up at wide receiver. Larry Fitzgerald, a former Madden cover star, joins him.

This team is in no way fair to play against. It should serve as a guaranteed way to unlock some of the harder achievements/trophies though. Madden NFL 13 releases on the Xbox 360 and PS3 August 28, 2012. Versions are also coming for the Nintendo Wii and PlayStation Vita.
