The iPad gaming update is GamerTell’s weekly look at the previous week’s iPad games released in the Apple App Store. We cover them all – good and not so good. The list is available every Monday, right as you are about to start that long work week.

It happened. WWDC 2012 happened. A-n-n-n-nd there wasn’t much for the iPad. No minis, no nanos, only Siri and iOS 6. Yes, Siri will finally come to the iPad in her (its?) more advanced state. So we have that to look forward to in the fall. But what you can look forward to now is these great games to play right now.

From towers to planes, Pocket Planes from the creators of Tiny Tower, takes you to the skies as you manage planes and fly bitizens around the world in this free game. Customize planes and pilot, trade equipment, and take on your friends to top the leaderboard to see who can rule the skies.

Akane the Kunoichi follows a kunoichi (female ninja) named Akane (DUH?) as she tries to save her beloved master from the clutches of the evil Hiromi. There are 15 levels and perhaps the most interesting feature is that this game supports iCade. It’s available at $0.99.

if my soul was stolen by Pinhead, Dracula, and Frankenstein I think it would take more than a board game to keep from getting it back. Zombie Quest HD, available for $1.99, defies my logic and pits you against the three monsters in a Game Center and Open Feint supported board game for your soul. Pass and play with friends as you both try to out maneuver both the monsters and logic.
