After many rumors and leaks, Google finally revealed the Nexus 7 on the first day of its Google I/O developer event. It will be available for $199 for the 8GB model, $249 for a 16GB model. Google will begin shipping in mid-July. Among the things Google demonstrated on the Nexus 7 was Dead Trigger and a game called Horn.

The Nexus 7 has pretty good specs for small device. It weighs 340 grams and can be held in one hand. It carries a Tegra 3 processor with a 12 core GPU, 1280 x 800 HD display, NFC support and a front camera. It can also run video for up to 8 hours, and remain in standby mode for up to 300 hours.  The Nexus 7 will also ship with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.
