Square Enix further solidified itself as a supporter of browser-based gaming by announcing it will port Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light to Google Chrome this fall. This will be the first time this particular game will be made available to play through a web browser.

Playing games through Google Chrome is fast and doesn’t require you to download the game you want to play. Chrome uses your computer’s hardware capabilities to improve the game’s overall quality. In the end, the experience is virtually identical to what you see on consoles.

If you want to get an idea of how seamless the process is, check out Bastion or Don’t Starve in Google Chrome.
