It’s time for another Comic-Con announcement! The news from the convention has been trickling in today, which is expected since most surprises come from panels, but there is some good news to report. It turns out a new entry in the popular and usually pretty darn decent Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm series is headed to North America and Europe. Namco Bandai decided to bring Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 to the San Diego convention for attendees to test out.
It’s difficult to talk about Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 as it isn’t even out in Japan yet. CyberConnect2 has confirmed that it will have more characters than any other Ultimate Ninja Storm game. It will also cover more recent story arcs, from the Five Kage Summit to the Shinobi World War. This means it should cover pretty much every recent event from the Naruto world. It will also support 3D TVs and will continue the tradition of using cel-shaded graphics to make it looks like you’re playing through an episode of the anime.
Here’s a trailer, so you have an idea of what you’re missing. Spoilers! It shows the Nine Tails attacking Konoha!
If you’re not at Comic-Con, you’ll have to wait a while before you can play Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 on your PS3 or Xbox 360. It’s supposed to be released in Japan in 2013, which means we probably won’t be getting it in other regions until sometime in the middle of 2013.
