Sword of the New World

Here’s a great looking MMORPG from Korea. Developed by HanbitSoft and imcGames, Sword of the New World: Granado Espada looks like a well envisioned product. The new twist, however, is that you’ll be able to employ “Multi Character Control.” Judging from the screen shots it looks like this means you’ll control three characters at a time instead of one.

The game is set in colonial-esque America-type-town, which sort of makes you wonder about the magical elements and whatnot. I don’t remember reading about Lewis and Clark casting fireballs in History class but, then again, I was usually asleep. I could’ve missed something.

Online play is available at two price levels: the basic monthly package costing $8.95 a month and the Premium Package coming in with a one-time fee $19.99. This super deluxe package includes some perks you wouldn’t normally get and you’ll be paying $8.95 a month after that anyways so, why not.

Odd, I don’t remember the pioneers being quite as busty as that either. I should have paid more attention in History class.
