Turner Broadcasting System, Inc.’s GameTap will premiere ReVisioned, a series of animated shows based on videogames. The first is based on Tomb Raider featuring Minnie Driver as the voice of Lara Croft. The series of short animated films, which will be free only through GameTap, will have a new episode available from July 10 – August 23, 2007.
Each virtual season of ReVisioned will feature a different videogame series from, as Gametap describes it, its “massive game vault.” No word yet on the game-based series that will follow Tomb Raider.
GameTap will also host a panel discussion at 4:15 p.m., July 28, 2007, at 2007 Comic-Con in San Diego, CA. The panel will include comic book witers who worked on the animated series including Jim Lee (Batman: Hush), Warren Ellis (Transmetropolitan), Peter Chung (Aeon Flux), Gail Simone (Wonder Woman) and Brian Pulido (Lady Death).
