GamesCom 2012 is happening super soon. That isn’t an exaggeration. On August 15, 2012, video game developers and publishers will gather in Germany to show off their stuff to members of the industry and fans. This means it’s probably a good idea to know who’ll be there, so we can prepare for announcements, maybe even surprise reveals. Namco Bandai is among the confirmed companies who will definitely attend and they are going to bring seven games with them. The only game that sounds like it might not be playable is Star Trek, but we’ll just have to wait and see.

These are the Namco Bandai games that will definitely be there. Aside from Star Trek, everything else should be playable. After all, most of the other games were playable at E3 2012!

  • Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition (PS3, Xbox 360, Windows)
  • Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch (PS3)
  • One Piece: Pirate Warriors (PS3)
  • Star Trek (PS3, Xbox 360, Windows)
  • Tales of Graces F (PS3)
  • Tank! Tank! Tank! (Wii U)
  • Tekken Tag Tournament 2 (PS3, Xbox 360)

Of the above, I’d say pass on Tank! Tank!Tank!. It just doesn’t seem as cool as the other games on display. Well, unless you want to actually try out a Wii U. Then Tank! Tank! Tank! may be worth your time.

I know it’s probably the oddball of the group, but I really think people should be paying attention to One Piece: Pirate Warriors. It’s a surprisingly good game that really shakes up the whole Samurai Warriors/Dynasty Warriors standards and does a good job of retelling the story of One Piece. I played it at E3 2012 and was quite impressed.
