Do you watch the History Channel? Do you like airplanes shooting at each other? You might be interested in Kuma Games and the History Channel’s partnership.
Starting today, July 13 2007, Kuma Games and the History Channel will launch a video game ‘companion’ to the television series Dogfights. This is the second season of the show, which reenacts aerial combat between historical aircraft throughout the 20th century. The online game, built around Valve’s Source engine, features combat based on whichever planes were shown on the History channel that week.
Keith Halper, CEO of Kuma Reality Games, promises, “For the TV fan who wants more, we provide a free, high-quality, fully-immersive game experience that corresponds to the TV episode you just saw.”
You can find the game at History.com or KumaGames.com. Be aware that this is a full-fledged PC game; there is an executable download required to play (and it’s a loooong download). The second season of Dogfights the TV show begins at 9 p.m. ET/PT on the History Channel.
