Today has been all about Steam Big Picture mode. We’ve seen it teased, we’ve watched the beta go live and now it’s time to actually see it in action. In this video, we go through the various features Big Picture mode offers including its first-person web browser.

Big Picture mode is best used with dedicated gaming PCs and laptops. Even then, most people probably aren’t going to lug their computers into the living room every time they want to play a game on Steam. It’s much faster to just use the regular Steam interface. That being said, we can only assume that Valve is using this to get the feedback it needs for an inevitable console launch. We’ll have another post about the ideal Steam console in a little bit, but let’s take a look at Big Picture mode in action right now.
