Well, here’s some news that isn’t going to please all the PS3, Xbox 360 and Windows owners who raced out to buy Darksiders II last month. Not only is Darksiders II going to be a Wii U launch title on November 18, 2012, it will also have extra content that won’t be available in the other three versions. That’s got to sting.
Surprisingly, THQ and Vigil Games are being quiet about what that additional content will be. The companies are vocal about the GamePad letting people control both Death and various objects and made a point to detail how the GamePad can be used to navigate various menus, use special attacks and access a map. It just didn’t say what the other bonuses will be that would make the game better on the Wii U. It must be extra missions though, as the Wii U version of Darksiders II will be about 5 hours longer than the other incarnations.
As for price, it seems Darksiders II will cost just as much on the Wii U as it does on the PS3 and Xbox 360. Make sure you have $59.99 set aside if you want to grab it for your next console in a few months. Of course, waiting may not be a bad idea either. I’m sure we’ll see one or two Black Friday 2012 sales that will offer some kind of Wii U game discount.
