The iPad gaming update is GamerTell’s weekly look at the previous week’s iPad games released in the Apple App Store. We cover them all – good and not so good. The list is available every Monday, right as you are about to start that long work week.

No iPad Mini was announced at Apple’s Keynote and I can’t say I missed it. In fact, the iPad was barely mentioned but here’s something you can look forward to iPad users: iOS 6 gets beamed to your devices on September 19, 2012. Here’s something you can look forward to right now too, this week’s gaming selection:

Fieldrunners 2 HD takes to the field once again, this time with retina graphics on your iPad. It’s pricey at $7.99 but long term fans won’t mind as they can now play across tons of levels, positioning 25 weapons, various game modes, elite enemy types and the Cannonball Tower.

Apocalypse Max: Better Dead Than Undead sees zombies taking over the world and leaving cleaning up the mess to Max. 20 levels are there to use over 18 weapons combines with hand drawn artwork to bring you this $2.99 action game.

Townsmen Premium brings you a medieval sim for $3.99. Grow from a tiny village to a thriving medieval city as you gather resources, produce and manage your town’s buildings and economy and watch your townies –  or townsies? – go to work and live in the town you built.
