Sony reveals an even slimmer PS3 starting at $269.99

Today at the Tokyo Game Show, Sony showed off a new PlayStation 3 model. This new PS3 is described as being 20% smaller and 25% lighter than the current model. Sony will release two versions of this new model with a 250GB and 500GB hard drive. Expect to see the 250GB version in stores on September 25 for $269.99. The 500GB model will be available October 30. Sony didn’t state a price for that version.
You may have noticed Sony is charging $20 more for the new PS3. There’s a couple reasons for that. For one, the hard drive size has been bumped up by 90GB. The other reason is that it will be bundled with Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception Game of the Year Edition and more than $30 worth of in-game currency for Dust 514.
The 500GB model will also be a part of a bundle that may include Assassin’s Creed 3.
