Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment announced today that Injustice: Gods Among Us will be released in April 2013 for the Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii U. Injustice was revealed earlier this year as a one-on-one fighting game starring super heroes and villains from the DC Comics universe.
Injustice: Gods Among Us is being developed by the Mortal Kombat veterans at NetherRealm. The look of the game is also similar to that of Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe. Although fatalities are not present in this game, it will feature character-specific abilities that interact with the environment on each level. The stages also have multiple tiers that can be visited by doing something such as smashing your opponent through a wall.
We’re interested in seeing if the Wii U interacts with the game any differently than the PS3 and Xbox 360. There is surely enough time to implement something unique to that console.
