The Wii U won’t be out until November 8, 2012, but already pre-orders are flying around like crazy. GameStop, for example, has received so many Wii U pre-orders that it’s just stopped taking them. Which means you have to look to other stores. Conveniently, Toys R us has stepped in to pick up the slack with it’s own custom Wii U bundle. If you’ve got $419.97 free, you can call dibs on a basic Wii U with Batman: Arkham City and Scribblenauts Unlimited.

This isn’t some special, pre-packaged bundle. This Toys R Us Wii U bundle is just something the store is throwing together. For your $420, you get the basic Wii U bundle with an 8GB hard drive, a GamePad, a Sensor Bar and a HDMI cable. You also get a copy of Batman: Arkham City Armored Edition and Scribblenauts Unlimited.

Granted, you aren’t saving any money with this bundle. A basic Wii U alone is $299.99. Both Batman: Arkham City and Scribblenauts Unlimited are going to cost $59.99 each. You’re just guaranteeing you get a Wii U and both games when the system launches on November 8, 2012.

This is the only Wii U pre-order currently available through Toys R Us. Odds are, they’ll eventually offer pre-orders for the systems alone closer to the launch date. If you want to guarantee you have a system immediately though, it’d good to know you have another option.
