CES 2012: Hands-on with Warrior’s Lair for Vita

Warrior's Lair

I didn’t know anything about Warrior’s Lair before I sat down to play it at CES 2012. A Sony representative told me it used to be called Ruin. The demo station which contained Warrior’s Lair wasn’t necessarily meant to sell us on the game itself. Sony was really promoting the multiplatform gaming capabilities Warrior’s Lair possesses.

CTA Digital Rifle

Shortly before the start of CES 2012, CTA Digital announced it partnered with the United States Army to release a number of Army-branded gaming peripherals. CTA Digital’s booth at CES contained all the previously announced peripherals such as throat mics, headsets and assault rifles for the PS3. I managed to get some hands-on time with more »

CES 2012: A little more info on Razer’s Project Fiona gaming tablet

Project Fiona

Razer sent our jaws dropping when it revealed its new concept tablet that carries the Project Fiona namesake. This tablet is powered by Windows 7 and has an Intel Core i7 processor. All that power makes it capable of paying some intense PC games such as Skyrim and Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine. There is still more »

CES 2012: Hands-on with Sorcery for PS3

sorcery

Sorcery was one of the first games that made PlayStation Move look cool. Unfortunately, it was nowhere to be found when Move was released. Months went by and Sorcery was still a no show. This seemingly abandoned game has returned and will be available to purchase sometime this year. At CES 2012, I got both more »

CES 2012: We’re all done here

CES

That’s it folks. It’s all over. Today is our final day in Las Vegas, and consequently, our last day at CES 2012. We covered a lot of ground and walked our fair share of miles this week. It was all worth it because we were able to show you some really cool advancements in gaming.

CES 2012: A photo tour of Razer’s booth

Razor booth

Razer made a bit of a splash at CES 2012 when it unveiled the Fiona tablet. If the Razer Blade wasn’t enough to make you say “wow”, the Fiona tablet certainly should. The tablet was protected under some glass, so I wasn’t able to actually touch it. I did managed to walk around the booth more »

CES 2012: LG presents cloud and gesture-based gaming [videos]

LG 3D games

Earlier this week, I told you how LG is embracing gaming by creating a gesture cam and a cloud gaming service for CES 2012. I promised a video of those games, and I’m delivering the goods today. The two videos that are posted after the break demonstrate Fruit Ninja in 3D and Street Fighter IV more »

CES 2012: Hands-on with the Wii U

Wii U

The Wii U was at CES, but it was far away from ground zero also known as the Las Vegas Convention Center. The Wii U was restricted to a small room in a hotel. I was able to try out a couple games for the Wii U and got to check out a tech demo more »

CES 2012: Razer’s Fiona tablet runs Windows 7, designed for gamers

razer fiona tablet concept art

Now this tablet is amazing. As fun as those little iOS and Android Market games are, they’re more like novelties when compared to actual PC and console games. They can’t even compare to handheld games sometimes. Razer has decided to show what a tablet can really be capable and, for the first time at CES more »
