Zen Studios’ Pinball FX 2 is excellent at using current-gen console controllers to create that old school arcade experience. The game also has a number of affordable table options to keep things new and fresh. The Pinball FX 2 game is a free download but Zen charges for the tables.

To promote the game and have a little Halloween fun, Zen has made its Paranormal Table available as a free download in the Xbox Live Arcade until November 2, 2011. The perks of being a celebrity never stop: money, fame and special versions of Madden NFL 12. EA Sports presented superstars including 50 Cent, Terrell Owens and Amare Stoudamire with special “VIP” packages of the new game. They include a custom PlayStation 3 with “It’s Time” engraved on it, a cap that reads “I Am The Madden Curse,” Monster headphones and of course, a copy of Madden NFL 12. EA did save one package for those of us who can’t rap, play sports or get our own VH1 reality shows. To win it, you will need to “Like” Madden NFL 12 on Facebook and post a story about your greatest Madden moment by August 25, 2011.

The Tokyo Game Show is coming up on September 15, 2011 and already people are starting to get excited. With good reason too, as it’s typically even bigger and better than E3. Especially since only the first two days are exclusive to press and industry officials, and the second two are for everyone. Of course, if you want to attend on September 17-18, 2011, you’ll have to pay ¥1,200 each day (~$15) to get in. A few days ago I reported that the Dragon Age 2 demo will be available to the public on February 23, 2011 as evidenced from this page. The page also hinted that the demo will be PC-only. Apparently, either some changes were made since the creation of that page or that information was wrong to begin with. In fact the demo is coming out a day earlier, and on all available platforms.
