The panel I saw was on Saturday 13, 2011, and was hosted by Chris Hartwick from G4.

I took a couple videos of Stewart from his panel because I believe Patrick Stewart can say it better than I can.

In the first video (below) he talks about an incident in which he was doing a scene with an alien ambassador with an incredibly long speech, so long in fact that it put Patrick to sleep right in the middle of the scene.

The second video talks about other cast members who couldn’t stay awake during their scenes, a <a

Nintendo is focusing quite a bit on the music of Zelda, in fact, offering the Ocarina of Time 3D soundtrack to the first people who register their copy of the game as well as an accompanying CD to the upcoming concert tours.

I’ll talk about the tour in a moment. First, with apologies for missing the start, here’s how Nintendo kicked off their E3 2011 press conference:

This gives you chills, right? How can you have followed the evolution of this music and not get goosebumps when you hear it played to its full majesty like this?

This is why I’m greatly looking forward to the upcoming Legend of Zelda Symphony Tour that Nintendo announced at the press conference. They were vague on the venues and timeline, stating only that it would happen later this year and would play various cities across the world. But if it comes to your area, it likely will be something you don’t want to miss, whether you’re a fan of the games or of symphonic music (or both, like me).

We’ll have more details on the Legend of Zelda Symphony as they’re announced.

Site [<a

Kirk Hiner and I both kept up with each announcement, from the Wii U reveal, to the Legend of Zelda 25th Anniversary and 3DS game announcements.

In case you missed the conference, here’s a brief look at some of the biggest news that came Nintendo on June 7, 2011.

The Wii successor is called Wii U. Yes, it’s actually Wii U. It will be released in 2012.

The Wii U controller will have 6.2″ touch screen in the center. There will be two circle pad analog sticks in the upper right and left corner. A camera is above the touch screen, facing the player. A microphone is below the touch screen. There will be two speakers built into it. A standard D-pad will be on the left below the circle pad, and X, Y, A and B buttons will be on the right below the other circle pad. There will be L, R, ZL and ZR buttons on the back of the controller. Rumble features, a gyroscope and an accelerometer will be built into the controller.

The Wii U will let you play a game with both screens or, if someone comes in and wants to use the TV, you can switch and play the game on the screen on the controller. It will be an HD screen and HD system.

A few Wii U games were hinted at. It looks like it will get a Legend of Zelda. It will definitely get Smash Bros. Darksiders II will be a launch title. The Lego City Stories, Assassin’s Creed, Batman: Arkham City, Tekken, Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Online, Dirt, Aliens: Colonial Marines, Metro: Last Light and Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge are all coming to the Wii U as well.

The Lego City Stories and Smash Bros are also coming to the 3DS.

5 new first party 3DS games are on the way – Luigi’s Mansion 2, Kid Icarus: Uprising, Super Mario 3D, Star Fox 64 3D and Mario Kart 3DS. All except Luigi’s Mansion 2 were given 2011 release windows.

Club Nintendo members who buy and register Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D will get a free soundtrack.

The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords will be released as a free DSiWare download.

A Legend of Zelda 25th Anniversary Symphony Concert tour will be held worldwide in 2011.

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword will be out in Q4 2011. A gold Wii remote will be released at the same time.

The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening will be added to the 3DS eShop later today.

At the last moment at the press conference, Nintendo had the screens show the image above with all the different game logos for forthcoming titles. There are a lot there and some were hard to see, but a few surprised popped up. Kirby Wii, Rhythm Heaven, Dragon Quest Monsters 2, Paper Mario and Mario Party 9 logos all showed up, so it looks like we’ll be seeing those games on the Wii, DS and 3DS in 2011 and 2012.

Read [<a

Ranging from a $15 digital alarm clock with USB ports to $130 iPad dock with motorized rotation. Most of the products are coming out April, March and May 2011.

A lengthy section of the keynote was focused on, of all things, personal sound amplifiers (PSAs or fancy speak for “hearing aid” that is not a hearing aid). Citing $2000 to $4000 hearing devices and the continued loss of hearing across all age groups, Audiovox is releasing two PSAs. Promising less loss, digital clarity and rechargeable batteries these will be sold in retail stores (and targeting surprisingly younger people).

The first is by RCA called the Symphonic and will be available April 2011 for $300. The second is by Acoustic Research and will be available May 2011 for $349.

There were also a bunch of portable Blu-ray players and configurations. One will utilize a mounting system that attaches to a standard headrest instead of requiring straps. They are also releasing a rotating player that will display in any direction.

They also announced an Android-based mounted system that is essentially a fancy tab for your car. That does mean, of course, that you can watch movies and play Android games.

The company is also pushing digital TV products including a couple small screen display devices. That will mean that local stations will need to buy the broadcasting equipment. It was promised to work at speeds of 100 mph.

There is also a line of auto safety devices including a rear camera system that combines GPS, radio and a single camera instead of four sensors. And, yes, an SD slot.

There is also a forward camera setup system that live detects the road and other vehicles to warn the driver when they cross the line or when there is the possibility of a collision. That will be $600 fully installed.

Site [<a

It has a super sweet disc design with pulsating lights as it plays.

There was a also a Tron PS3 dock that adds 4 USB ports and uses Monster Clean Power (that should help surge protect it). It’s controlled by the Monster Visualizer App, Monster’s first app.

Monster, as Lee really likes his Bentley, has also come up with series of – get this – care care products. Waxes, cleaners and the like. The products will be featured on the TV series West Coast Customs. That red Bentley, has also been tricked out Tron style by WCC and is no longer red) and will be unveiled 2 p.m. at CES on Thursday, January 6, 2011.

They also announced the Max 3D, the first universal 3D glasses that will work with any 3D display – no matter the maker – thanks to active syncing. Those will be available January 30, 2011. The price is a whopping $229 for the full kit and $150 for glasses alone.

Also being promoted were more emphasis on audio (including a concert by Earth Wind and Fire that they are also filming in 3D).

They also have a new high-def set of headphones coming out, HDHS debuting with the Tron design. Coming out, as they have been for ages, later this year. (Lee did say “headphones are the new loudspeakers”).

Site [Recently announced during Gamescon 2009 in Cologne, Germany, and confirmed on the Sony PlayStation blogs, Sony Home will have a major overhaul with the release of version 1.3 in September 2009 with tons of updates and much welcomed additions to make the experience more fun.

Sony PlayStation Home v1.3

Launching Simplified

According to the recent blog post, players will find they will be able to launch into any PS3 games that support launching like Street Fighter IV and MotorStorm: Pacific Rift without having to leave Home to start the game. An icon will appear above the player’s avatar to allow friends to join the game as long as it supports multi-player functions. This will be made easy to set up just by loading the disc into the system while logged into Home and following the directions to get started.

Photo Opportunities

Another new feature, everyone in the community has been begging for in the forums, is the new camera function. When the update takes place in September players will be able to take photos of their favorite areas or pose with friends for a picture they can hang in the personal spaces. The photos can be taken in first person or third person view to make the photos more personal with a few new poses or action emotes to choose from to make the photo interesting. All images will automatically be saved onto your PS3′s XMB.

Improved Experiences on Home

To improve the Home experience there will be a few new portable items much like the irritating bubble machines we find everywhere. But this time, players will now have the option to block another player’s portable items from their screen to avoid the annoyance. Speaking of irritating players you may run into, this same function will also allow players to remove the offending player from their sight by simply blocking the player. So that you can not only mute what they are typing, you don’t even have to look at them, they will be gone completely from your area. Can we say Hallelujah?

A Shop-aholic’s Dream Come True

For those of you who like to shop as much as I do, a new function will be added to the shopping mall that will allow players to try the clothing items on their avatar before making a purchase to avoid downloading an item that will sit in the inventory never to be worn again … ever. Or even preview how the furniture will look in personal spaces before the final purchase. Because once the item is downloaded all sales are final. But luckily players can always suggest adding that function in the PlayStation blogs where Sony they encourage players to post ideas and suggestions so they can improve the gaming experience everyone wants.

New Spaces Coming Soon

SingStar and Audi Space

Once the new version has been released a new space will open for all SingStar fans. This club-style space will feature a dance floor, video jukebox and a SingStar Music Quiz mini-game.

No further information about the Audi space is available as it was just announced, but you can check out the video below for a glimpse of the SingStar space and a glimpse of all the additional features mentioned and more coming to the Sony Home in September:
<div
